Luxury watchmaker Hublot is partnering the Swiss racing bicycle manufacturer BMC to produce another product in its 'All Black' range.

Following the worldwide success of its oversize All Black, Big Bang watches, the Swiss manufacturer has developed the 'black' concept to encompass non-horological items such as the limited-edition (111 pairs) skis by Swiss manufacturer Zai.

This time, only 30 examples of the All Black, Hublot-liveried BMC SLT01 will be produced. The beautifully made, carbonfibre and aluminium frame carries all-carbonfibre forks, wheels and saddle with Campagnolo SuperRecord 11-speed gears and Speedplay Nanogram titanium pedals. The pedal bearings contain silicon for ultra-low friction and, altogether, the bike weighs just 6.9kg.



The first example is due to be race-tested at the World Stars Cycling Criterium (a charity event), in Monaco on 3 July. Hublot CEO, Jean-Claude Biver, will be competing and looks forward to racing alongside some of cycling's greats, including Eddy Merckx, Tony Rominger, Richard Virenque, Laurent Jalabert and Pedro Delgado.
