Under the leadership of Luca di Montezemolo, Ferrari moved away from a mid-engine layout for its V-12 grand tourers. Replacing the F512 M, the 550 Maranello entered production in 1996 and was superseded by the 575M Maranello six years later. With their long bonnets and short tails, these front-engined flagships harked back to greatest hits such as the 365 GTB/4 Daytona.

While they garnered rave reviews, the two models evidently leaned more into the gran turismo brief. But that changed with the arrival of the more athletic 599 GTB Fiorano in 2006. Central to its aggressive nature was the F140C engine, a naturally aspirated 6.0-litre V-12 derived directly from the Ferrari Enzo supercar. It was rated to produce a mighty 612 horsepower, enabling a 3.7-second sprint to 100 km/h and a top speed in excess of 330 km/h.

Heralding from the first year of 599 GTB Fiorano production, this example was delivered new in Switzerland on 9 August 2006 by Garage Foitek AG of Urdorf, Zurich. As part of the attractive specification, the black exterior is complemented by silver wheels and black brake callipers, while Scuderia shields are set into the tops of the front wings.

Just as tasteful, the interior features a black upper dashboard while the remainder of the cabin is trimmed in cream leather. The carbon fibre seats feature the Cavallino logo embossed into the headrests. In addition, a yellow tachometer and carbon fibre driver zone—featuring shift-indicator lights on the steering wheel—were specified. The car was configured with the optional six-speed F1-SuperFast paddle-shift transmission.

As documented in the accompanying owner’s guides and service book, the 599 GTB returned to the Foitek franchise for maintenance in 2008, 2011, 2013, 2023, and 2024; the odometer readings rising from 2,436 to 6,109 kilometres across that period.

The car visited the official Ferrari dealer (since remained to B.I. Collection AG) again in January 2026 for its most recent service, at which time the wiper linkage assembly and air conditioning control unit were replaced at a cost of 7,752 CHF (invoice available to view on file). A condition report states the 599 GTB Fiorano shows only four per cent wear on the clutch and eight per cent on the brakes.

Catalogued showing a modest total of 6,212 kilometres, this elegantly configured 599 GTB would make for a fine addition to any discerning collection.
