Completed in February 1958 in left-hand-drive, DB2/4 Mark III chassis number 1474 was originally finished in Desert White with Blue trim and delivered new to the United States. The Mark III represented the ultimate development of the model, benefiting from a number of improvements. The most notable change in the car's appearance was the adoption of an elegantly shaped radiator opening, together with a revised instrument binnacle. The Mark III was also the first Aston Martin to be equipped with front disc brakes as standard, beginning with chassis number 1401. The engine, now designated the DBA, was substantially re-engineered by Tadek Marek as a 3.0-liter straight-six fitted with twin SU carburetors, producing 165 hp, or 178 hp when equipped with twin exhausts. Despite the slight increase in weight, the Mark III was faster than any of its predecessors, with a top speed of 120 mph (approximately 193 km/h).

The current owner, a discerning Belgian connoisseur, acquired this example at a public sale in Paris during the 2012 salon Rétromobile. At the time, the chassis, suspension, and brakes had been rebuilt, the bodywork restored by an Aston Martin specialist, and a new wiring loom installed. The car had also been refinished in Silver and fitted with a brown leather interior and tan carpeting, the latter completed by J.D. Joseph Car Trimming in London.

In the months that followed, the collector commissioned a major mechanical overhaul, as well as a new repaint by Cheshire Classic Car. More recently, in 2020, work was carried out on the body seals, the locks and opening mechanisms, as well as on the odometer. The car was serviced and maintained by Marreyt Classic Cars, Belgium, in 2025, with invoice available on file.

One of only 280 left-hand-drive examples produced, this rare DB2/4 Mark III is presented in a very attractive Silver finish with a brown leather interior and is accompanied by its factory records certificate and its history file dating back to 1987.
