Im Jahr 2020 kaufte der aktuelle Eigentümer diesen schönen Porsche 964 in Köln. Ziel war ein Komplettumbau in der Optik eines F-Modells mit neuer Technik durch die Firma „Das Triebwerk“ in Schwelm. 2020 wurde ein 4-seitige Pflichtenheft erstellt, in dem alle Umbauten aufgelistet wurden. Unter anderem wurde der Hubraum des Originalmotors auf 3,8 Liter erhöht, sodass eine Leistung von 350 PS erreicht wurde. Die Liste der Umbauten und der Vollrestauration ist sehr umfangreich und wurde perfekt umgesetzt. Anschließend erfolgte eine Einstell- und Abnahmefahrt von Walter Röhrl auf dem Bilster Berg, nahe Paderborn. Ein Wertgutachten aus dem Jahr 2021 attestiert dem Backdated 964er die Zustandsnote 1. Im Jahr 2024 wurde noch einmal Hand angelegt und der Motor wurde auf 4,3 Liter Hubraum erhöht, sodass nun ca. 410 PS an der Hinterachse anliegen. Zusätzlich erfolgten weitere Anpassungsarbeiten, um die Leistung sinnvoll auf die Straße zu bringen. Weitere, knapp 100.000 € wurden in das Projekt investiert. Das Ergebnis ist ein perfekter Backdated Porsche 964, wahrscheinlich einer der aktuell besten Umbauten am Markt. Ein aktuelles Gutachten weist den Gesamtwert der Umbaukosten von ca. 541.000 € aus. Neue Umbauten bei der Firma „Das Triebwerk“ kosten aktuell bis zu 780.000 €, zuzgl. des Basisfahrzeugs, mit einer Wartezeit von mindestens 12-15 Monaten nach Bestellung.

In 2020, the current owner purchased this beautiful Porsche 964 in Cologne. The goal was a complete conversion to the look of an F-model with new technology, carried out by the company “Das Triebwerk” in Schwelm. In 2020, a four-page specification sheet was drawn up listing all the modifications. Among other things, the displacement of the original engine was increased to 3.8 liters, resulting in an output of 350 PS. The list of modifications and the full restoration is very extensive and was executed to perfection. This was followed by a test drive and final inspection conducted by Walter Röhrl at Bilster Berg, near Paderborn. A 2021 appraisal report certifies the backdated 964 as being in Condition Grade 1. In 2024, further work was carried out, and the engine’s displacement was increased to 4.3 liters, resulting in approximately 410 PS delivered to the rear axle. Additional modifications were also made to effectively transfer this power to the road. Another nearly 100,000 € was invested in the project. The result is a perfect “Backdated” Porsche 964, likely one of the best conversions currently on the market. A recent appraisal puts the total value of the conversion costs at approximately 541,000 €. New conversions at the company “Das Triebwerk” currently cost up to 780,000 €, plus the cost of the base vehicle, with a wait time of at least 12–15 months after ordering.
