Hamann, the vehicle tuning specialists from Laupheim in Germany, have taken the standard Ferrari 599 GTB and upped the power output of the Enzo-derived 6-litre, V12 engine to give 673bhp. Then they’ve added some sophisticated aerodynamics and a sports exhaust, made from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, with 90mm tail-pipes – promising an even more awe-inspiring sound than its series production counterpart.
The ‘face’ of the Hamann supercar is adorned with a spoiler, generating greater downforce on the front axle, along with sill panels to give a more muscular appearance. The roof sports a further spoiler, which in turn guides air to the dramatically-styled rear wing. Hamann chose to equip the rear end of this Italian musclecar with a three-piece diffuser reflecting its race-car roots. All aerodynamic components are available in either glassfibre or Carbon-Kevlar.
The wheels are Hamann’s own design. Called ‘Edition Race’, the three-piece, ultra-light forged rims feature a cross-spoke design with nine main branching spokes, each of which splits into a further two. The titanium wheel bolts are a particularly eye-catching feature, as are the mirror-finished rim flanges.
Inside the car, an exclusive set of black floor mats brings a cozier touch to the cockpit of this Ferrari. Extravagant leather upholstery is available in various colours, as are extensive multimedia conversions featuring a DVD player, TV reception and a PlayStation. Batman, says Hamann, would choose the Hamann Ferrari 599 GTB as the car he’d drive to work in...
