The traditional autumn date for the annual exhibition of vintage cars and motorbikes is fixed for the 22nd and 23rd November at the Padua Exhibition Centre. A 9,000 sq.mt. exhibition area, 500 spare parts dealers from all over Europe, more than 100 marque clubs, over 1,500 historic vehicles on show - these are the numbers that make the exhibition a guaranteed attraction.
The featured subject this year is the historic and vintage motorcycle, with special initiatives planned and two halls especially reserved for them, one entirely dedicated to spare parts dealers from all over Europe.
Among the special initiatives is the Laverda Monographic Exhibition. For the first time ever, more than 30 racing bikes constructed by this famous Vicenza manufacturer will be shown. The complete Laverda 750 SFC 6 cylinder series, of which only two examples now exist in the world, are presented for the first time, as well as the complete Laverda 500 series up to the 1200 and other models that were constructed between 1950 and 1978.
Among the car clubs, all previous exhibitors will be there and for the first time the Fiat Historic Register will also be present with some models that have never been seen in Padua before.
Two halls will be entirely dedicated to traders, mainly Italian, German and Swiss, who will present the best of the European collector’s car market.
There will also be an area dedicated to private buying and selling (more than 200 sales last year).
For the 20th anniversary, the organisers have also decided to run two additional collectors’ events alongside the vintage cars, interests that are often allied to motoring - watches and boats. There are almost 30 dealers, including those from outside Italy, who will exhibit their rare examples of vintage and modern watches, including Rolex, Vacheron Constantin, Patek Philippe and Jaeger-LeCoultre.
The presence of a number of examples of wooden boats from the 40s, 50s and 60s, including the ultra smart Riva motorboats, will be also be a tremendous attraction.
The organisers expect the whole event to appeal to a very enthusiastic audience, not just lovers of historic vehicles, but real experts on everything sophisticated and expensive in the world of timepieces, motor vehicles and boats.
