This car was most probably sold new to Mr Josef Benzel of Roslyn Heights NY. He was president of Afro American Trading Corp, and subsequently regularly travelled to Switzerland. At some time he shipped his car to Switzerland and drove it in the Summer near Lugano. In April 1977 he sold the car to a wellknown swiss rally driver and car collector. The car was then swiss customs paid but never road registered. This last owner drove the car for about only 11000 miles. IT is thus a two owner car with documented low mileage.
The car is in very beautifull original unrestored but well maintained condition. All mecanics have been recently checked, many gaskets changed. Radiator replaced, drums brakes repaired, etc...
Paint was redone in 1977. Interior and hood are all original unrestored. The car has a lot of charm with some patina. Most important it is completely originale and genuine.
