Description

The BSA Hornet was a stripped down purpose built off road and desert racer mainly built for the American market as demand for such bikes had grown during the 1960’s. Supplied without head or taillights, ‘straight through’ exhaust pipes the A65 unit construction engine introduced in 1962 was upgraded with high compression pistons, a performance cam and twin carbs, and was in direct competition to Triumphs TRC Trophy and T120 TT and Norton P11.
This ‘West Coast’ Hornet from 1967 remains in generally good order throughout, fitted with an upgraded ignition system it also has its original right and left handed Amal Monobloc carbs and polyester fuel tank which has been sealed. It good running order it has also been fitted with lights and is supplied with a UK V5 registration.
