“Tutte le Ferrari a Misano” October 2002

“Tutte le Ferrari a Misano” October 2002 Maranello, 8th October - Ferrari is pleased to inform you that the traditional event which closes its motor sport season takes place this year at the Autodromo Santa Monica di Misano. “Tutte le Ferrari a Misano” (All the Ferraris at Misano) takes place from Friday 18th October to Sunday 20th October.

The programme of events includes the finals of the Ferrari Challenge Pirelli Trophy, the Shell Historic Ferrari Maserati Challenge, a demonstration run of some historic Formula 1 cars, a display by the Maserati Trofeo and appearances from the four Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro F1 drivers, Michael Schumacher, Rubens Barrichello, Luca Badoer and Luciano Burti.

The Ferrari Challenge, which dates back to 1993, is this year reserved for 360 Modena and features around 100 competitors from around the world, split into three championships: 360 Italy, 360 Western Europe and 360 USA. The fight for the title in various championships is still wide open and so the races should be close and spectacular.

Championship titles are also up for grabs in the Shell Historic Ferrari Maserati Challenge, the series reserved for cars built before 1973. 60 competitors are entered for Misano, divided into three categories: single seaters, drum braked cars and disc braked cars. The idea for this particular championship was born out of a special event held in 1994. This year, the Shell Historic Ferrari Maserati Challenge has been run over four events at Spa, Dijon, Brands Hatch and the Nurburgring.
