• Lovingly known within Ford as Project Carla, the Mk III Capri emerged in 1976 as a stylish evolution of the MkII. Constrained by a tight development budget, the MkIII was essentially a refreshed Mk II, updated with distinctive quad headlamps, revised front wings, a sculpted bonnet, modernised bumpers and a refreshed palette of paint and interior trim options
• First registered on 11/01/1984, this example was sold new by Page of Epsom to its original owner, who cherished it until his passing just a year later. The car was then passed to his wife - who did not drive - leaving the Capri effectively mothballed
