"Standard of the World" ist jahrzehntelang Cadillacs Leitspruch. Eigentlich trifft er den Kern der Marke schlecht, denn ein Cadillac steht nicht nur an der Spitze der General Motors-Markenfamilie, sondern auch weit über irgendeinem Standardprodukt. Oder, wie es bei der General Motors Suisse 1962 heisst: "Das Beste vom Besten, Inbegriff der Qualität, König der Könige, Krone der Automobilschöpfung." Der Fleetwood ist dabei das besonders luxuriöse Modell.
Unser Fleetwood ist ein Restaurationsobjekt im Zustand 4, das 2007 das letzte Mal eine gültige MFK erhielt. Der 6,3 Liter V8-Motor dreht, allerdings muss einiges an Aufwand betrieben werden, um diesen Fleetwood wieder auf die Strasse zu bringen. Ein ideales Fahrzeug für alle, die mit Freude und Passion selbst Hand anlegen wollen.

For decades, Cadillac’s motto was “Standard of the World.” In truth, the phrase only partially captured the brand’s essence - a Cadillac wasn’t just a standard-setter within the GM family, but something far above and beyond any ordinary automobile.
Or, as General Motors Suisse put it in 1962: “The best of the best, the embodiment of quality, the king of kings, the crown of automotive creation.” Within the lineup, the Fleetwood stood as the particularly luxurious model.
This Fleetwood is a restoration project in condition grade 4. Its last valid technical inspection (MFK) dates back to 2007. The 6.3-liter V8 engine turns, but considerable effort will be needed to return this stately American icon to roadworthy condition.
