Description

Estimated Price: £30,000 - £35,000

  • Fiberfab was founded in 1964 in Palo Alto, California and initially were building custom panels for existing models, however within a few years they became one of the premier kit car manufacturers in the world
  • The Jamaican was introduced in 1968 and was designed to fit on Austin-Healy or Triumph TR chassis
  • Purchased by our vendor in 2014 from Oklahoma, this example was based on a Healey 3000 (BJ8) chassis. He commenced a full body-off restoration in 2018 and the chassis was fully stripped, cleaned, repaired and repainted. Naturally, the suspension and brakes were rebuilt at this point
  • The 2,912cc straight-six (150bhp when new) was rebuilt with new pistons, bearings, alternator and starter. HD8 carbs were overhauled and a Toyota 5-speed gearbox was added
  • The body was stripped of its gel coat and repainted in Aston Martin California Sage. The interior features hand-stitched green leather bucket seats, a custom dashboard and console
  • Other modifications include an opening boot lid, pop-up MX5 headlights, custom vents, electric windows and a modern wiring loom with relays and fuses
  • Now UK-registered, it has completed a 900-mile shakedown. Supplied with build invoices, a photographic record, Heritage Certificate and V5C
  • We understand that there are only half a dozen Fiberfab Jamaicans in the UK, but they do have their own Facebook page
