Description

The DBS was for many years seen as the Cinderella of the AM world, outshone by the earlier seminal DB5 models. Nowadays with prices of DB5's having reached stratospheric values; the DBS cars are very much in the ascendancy and prices have firmed up for both barn finds and concourse examples. Production run stretched between September 1967 and April 1972 during which 803 examples were produced. Thus, the DBS, even though it was in production for almost five years, are rarer than the DB5.

This example was registered new on 1st January 1972 and is showing a mere 54,785 miles on the odometer. Previously this Aston was in private storage for around 18 years until it was bought by the current vendor and fifth owner in 2019 who carried out a full bare metal respray, and engine rebuild amongst various other works. The car was subject to a full bare metal respray with photographic evidence at key stages in 2020 and the engine has also been extensively rebuilt with invoices on file. The interior was also refreshed, both the front seats have been professionally re-upholstered and the dashboard leather was professionally stripped, re-stitched and treated. The carpets were also replaced at this time. Sitting proudly on a brand new set of tyres with original wire wheels and spinners, this Aston is ready to be enjoyed by its new owner. Offered with a history file detailing the restoration work, many sundry bills, previous MoT test certificates, the British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certificate, its original AM handbook and brochure, a copy of the workshop manual, various AM badges and stickers, an original Aston Martin jack and spare tyre cover and the current V5 Registration document. Consigned by Daniel Godin
