This early Giulietta of the Tipo 750 F Series, built until 1959, - still without quarter windows in the doors - was first registered in Germany in July 1957. As an original “Veloce” the eternally beautiful Italian boasts a 1.3 litre 4-cylinder DOHC engine fed by two Weber 40DCO3 carburettors, resulting in a sprightly 90 horsepower delivered to the rear axle. With an empty weight of only 890 kilograms rapid progress and endless driving fun is guaranteed. The history of the little cabriolet is not known, but the engine number would indicate that the car once received a type-correct exchange engine with a manufacturing year 1958. In 2016 the Giulietta was acquired by an enthusiastic collector who commissioned a complete and thorough restoration. The coachwork was taken back to bare metal and repainted in light blue and the interior recovered in dark blue vinyl. The engine and the rest of the mechanics were overhauled. More than EUR 100`000 were invested and some of the work is documented with photographic records. In March 2023 the Alfa Romeo was taken over by the vendor and imported into Switzerland. Here the car received the necessary preparation for the Veteran MOT through Graber Sports Garage. Tasks included adjustment of the valve clearance, changing the engine oil as well as a revision of the carburettors, the instrumentation and the steering box. In May 2024 the car received new suspension springs front and rear and the front suspension geometry was checked and adjusted. Now the Spider Veloce presents itself in very good condition with the engine running perfectly and the four speed gearbox shifting correctly. The most recent Veteran MOT was completed in March 2024.
