1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta spider 1300, S/N AR10103 171827, Engine No. AR00102 29591, Red with black, 1,300cc in-line 4 cylinder engine with single Solex carburetor, uprated 5 speed fully synchronized gearbox, Pinin Farina coachwork, built on December 30, 1961 and delivered new to USA distributor, Alfa Romeo, Inc. in Newark, New Jersey, owned in the Pacific Northwest until 2013 – 46 of those years with just one owner, Mr. Harry Jones of Bothwell, Washington, always specialist serviced with a freshening some ten years ago to include attention to the top end of the engine, new correct seat upholstery and interior door panels, bumper re-plating, minor spot paint blending and, a new convertible top, then sold on in 2013 to a noted San Francisco based Alfisti and now more recently in a sportscar collection here in suburban Boston and having just received a fresh servicing to all systems. With its matching numbers original engine, original sheet metal throughout, known history and genuine original appearance, our Giulietts spider the ideal enthusiast’s set-up.
