Description

"The Porsche 993 was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 964 generation of the iconic 911 model and was built until 1998. Regarded by many as the best generation of 911's ever produced from Stuttgart, this car was the last to use the air cooled flat six engine that had powered 911's for the previous thirty years. The 993 was offered in a number of guises and specifications during its production life including two and four wheel drive trains, known as Carrera and Carrera 4 respectively. The 993 was the first generation 911 to have standard six-speed manual transmission. The Carrera, Carrera S, Cabriolet and Targa models (2WD) were available with a Tiptronic four-speed automatic transmission which was first introduced in the 964.
This immaculately presented 911 Carrera 2 Convertible was first registered in April 1994 and is offered in metallic Midnight Blue with Marble Grey leather interior and matching blue hood. This manual example has a comprehensive and documented history file full of invoices, a complete Porsche book pack and two sets of keys. Described by the owner as a truly beautiful example, this car represents much of what is desirable in a 993 Porsche 911; a manual convertible in a lovely colour combination and, as with the iconic 911's of the past, a rear engine with rear wheel drive offering perfect balance. Presented with an MoT test certificate valid until November 2018, this is an attractively priced convertible, perfect for the summer and to keep as a future appreciating classic."
