Chassis #403 was completed on 9th April 1973 and was part of ISO´s last consignment to the USA and sold to Los Angeles, California.
The car was photographed in 1983 by Winston Goodfellow the Author of the “ISO Bible” ‘The Men And The Machines’ and Grifo #403 was described by Goodfellow as the best he had seen, and showed only 13,445 miles on the speedometer after its nine years in California.
After a short spell with its second owner Grifo #403 was offered for sale in the ‘Sports Car Graphic’ magazine in November 1987 and was described as being in concours condition. The car changed hands in 1988 for $49,000 to its third careful owner; a very high price for an ISO Grifo at the time.
