Description

A scarcely found example of François Bazin’s "Centaur" Art Deco radiator cap mascot in bright nickel-plated bronze, this particular one with the original cast thermometer post present, and mounted on a black rectangular hardwood base. Designed by Bazin (1890–1943) for the automobile marque UNIC, this mascot appeared on the eight-cylinder vehicles the company produced from 1924.

Overall height: 8 in. (20 cm). Overall length: 6.5 in. (16 cm).
