Description

The Autocar Emancipation Day Anniversary Demonstration Run meritorious award 9 carat gold medal, 1928, by D George Collins, hallmarked Birmingham 1928, 160g, 72mm diameter, the obverse with Heralds of Victory overlooking two cars, the reverse engraved with presentation details 'Oliver Bowden 1900 Wolseley', in original presentation case (some wear and tear to lining), and a letter from The Autocar dated 16 August 1974 with attached typed information sheet about the 1928 event and the award winner (folded, creased).
