Description

A fine and rare 'Lion' mascot by G Poitvin, retailed by Hermes, French, circa 1920, signed to rear of hollow-cast base with Contenot & Lelievre foundry cartouche to underside and with further '(C&L)' stamps and foundry casting numbers to rear of base, nickel-plated bronze mascot in the form of a proud lion with stylised mane, 15cm long, mounted on a turned wooden display base.
