Underneath this retro look is a BMW M3 engine and a simply shiny chassis. It's the Wiesmann Roadster MF 3, a car that even the most passionate about road thrills may never have heard of. For those considering buying a Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz SL or even a Maserati Spyder, this is an option with a lot of potential and with an additional consideration: the fact that it is a very rare car with limited production. Wiesmann, based in Dulmen, North East Germany, has been building roadsters since 1993 and is the only car manufacturer in the world to whom BMW M supplies parts, including SMG II Gearboxes, should the customer wish.

This is a dramatically short, athletic model, with pronounced “shoulder width” and a look that derives from classic British sports cars. Under the hood is an in-line six-cylinder M3 engine brilliantly mounted to the chassis with steel and aluminum mounts. The chassis is largely made of fiberglass and the interior features high-quality leather finishes. Weighing just 1180 kilos, it has extended power delivery characteristics that go along with the increase in revs up to 8,000 rpm.

This unit has only 40,000 kilometers and is a real collectible that deserves to be driven.
