This classic car is for sale on Catawiki. To have more information or to place a bid click on the "BID NOW" button. .For sale: very rare WANDERER in original condition.
This is a NO RESERVE auction.

The brand name "WANDERER" existed from 1911 to 1945. It was one of the 4 brands that merged to create the new name "AUTO UNION", later "AUDI". The other brands were Horch, Audi and DKW.
Horch was based on the luxury segment, DKW made inexpensive 2-stroke cars, and Audi and Wanderer were in the middle segment.

Approximately 23,000 Wanderers were built in total and only a few hundred remain. Many were destroyed or disappeared during World War II. This Wanderer survived and was left behind after the war, it was very carefully preserved. We bought it in 1984 and drove it regularly until 2016.

In 2020, we signed up to take part in the beautiful rally "Cairo to Capetown".
We prepared the car and were ready to leave, but the coronavirus decided otherwise.

The engine has been COMPLETELY overhauled and all basic parts have been checked and replaced where necessary, such as the electrical wiring, etc.

The choice to take this Wanderer on the 14,000 km long journey is simply because this is a VERY SOLID German car.
The risk of mechanical failure is almost zero, and the bodywork can withstand the odd dent.

The engine has only run a few hundred km after the overhaul and is in an excellent, mint condition. The interior still requires some work, and the body is in its original colour and has a wonderful patina.

The "restoration workbook" is also included.

It is very exceptional that such a sturdy German vehicle is offered for sale.

A test drive is always possible.
