The car which we are presenting for sale is a rare six-speed manual version which had covered a total of just 75,000km (46,600 miles) at the time of our test. Delivered new on 14 December 2004 by the Volkswagen dealership Jean Lain Automobiles at Seynod, it has been consigned to us by a Lupo GTI fan. More widely sold in Germany, it is hard to find a French-market car fitted with the six-speed gearbox. The Lupo GTI we are offering today is in perfect condition, its bodywork close to new. The grey cloth upholstery with red stitching on the edges is impeccable and all the equipment fitted works correctly. Our first impression when driving the Lupo was that this was just another city car, easy to drive and with no surprises in mechanical terms. But as soon as we took to the country backroads, we realised just how talented this little sports car really is. The Lupo GTI has excellent roadholding and its feisty temperament came through straightaway as we stepped up the pace. The twin exhaust pipes also let us enjoy some of the typical GTI soundtrack at higher revs. Regularly serviced in the Volkswagen dealer network, the Lupo will be supplied with its original service booklet.
