Description

"In May 1974, Volkswagen presented the first generation Golf as a modern, front-wheel drive, long range replacement for the Volkswagen Beetle. Later Golf variations included the Golf GTi 'hot hatch' introduced in June 1976, a diesel powered version from September 1976, the Jetta Saloon in October 1979 and, from the end of 1979, the Golf Cabriolet built by Karmann. The Golf Mk. IV was first introduced in August 1997, followed by a saloon version (VW Bora) in August 1998 and a new Golf Variant (estate) in March 1999. There was no Mk. IV derived Cabriolet although the Mk. III Cabriolet received a facelift in late 1999 that consisted of bumpers, grille and headlights similar to those of the Mk. IV models.
Originally registered on 11th October 2001, this Golf SE Cabriolet is a good specification vehicle and is fitted with automatic transmission, air conditioning and a power roof. The dark blue coachwork is in good, rust free, condition and the black interior trim is very clean and tidy. The most recent work carried out on 8th July 2017 at 94,675 miles included a service and a new cambelt. With German reliability and timeless styling, this Golf SE Cabriolet is supplied with V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 22nd July 2020 (no advisories) and some invoices. Offered for sale without reserve."
