With a delivery date of 23rd April 1982, this beetle was handed over to its first owner through AMAG in Zurich only just about a year before import of this model would irrevocably end. After two further owners the beetle was taken over by the current owner in 1997/98 with then 54’000 kilometres showing. He clearly cherished his Mexico bug and in 2012 the coachwork was partly restored with two new mudguards installed followed in 2017 by further restoration work, two further new mudguards and a complete repaint. In 2019 the carburettor, the ignition coil and the distributor were replaced. The beetle now presents itself in good condition and the 9’100 kilometres showing correspond to a true 109’100 kilometres, documented with the service booklet and the emission control document. The most recent veteran MOT was completed in March 2024.
