The Beetle has a properly running 1.6L 50 HP engine with a nice sound. The car shifts smoothly through all gears and it brakes properly. This is still the old type appreciated by connoisseurs, more than the later type with a rounded windscreen and larger rear lights.

The upholstery still looks neat, new seat covers (and headrests) are included to finish off the interior. The car has relatively good paint but has several spots that are visible up close (see photos).

The previous owner had the car for 20 years and always used it for summer drives (in Sweden), the car is perfectly suitable for that. The top was recently replaced. In addition, the engine was overhauled about 20,000 km ago (no invoices available). This convertible can be used for many more kilometres to come. The paintwork needs some attention before it’s in excellent condition again. See last photos.
