Volkswagen Beetle convertible 1302 LS 1600cc AD engine, it starts and drives well. Original Karmann convertible, chassis number 15.

Manual long gearbox (you don't see these so much nowadays), everything works well. The Beetle starts, drives and brakes. All electrical systems work properly.

The Beetle convertible had a major service in the winter of 2020, the sill beams were replaced by new ones, the battery compartment was replaced by new panels. Everything was done by a professional Beetle garage and not simply sealed up with Tectyl or sealant, you can see the quality of the work, see pictures.

The brakes were been opened and checked, new brake linings were fitted where necessary. The fuel pump and ignition were replaced, new oil, new exhaust pipes, all electrical systems were checked by the Beetle garage.

The interior is fairly neat, only the driver's seat has two spots of wear (see photos). The paint is original Enzian Blauw, how it rolled out of the factory in 1971. The paint is fairly neat (not perfect) but that's not surprising for this 49-year-old beauty. The paint is starting to come off on the A-stiles and on the beading. The doors are starting to rust along the bottom, this might need addressing soon. See photos.

The soft-top is neat and closes well.

This Beetle has stood still for the past year due to the owner’s passing. We recommend to have the Beetle checked before using it again. I can help with European transport if needed.
