The Volkswagen Beetle which was built from 1938 to 2003 is the most famous Volkswagen, the most famous German car, and in general one of the most famous cars ever.

This is a so-called Zwitter. Or a transitional split-window. A model that was built only for a short period, from October 1952 to March 1953. This half year – during the transition to the VW oval Beetle (from April 1953 to July 1957) – was used to use up the VW split-window parts that were still in stock.

Features that are typical for the Zwitter: chrome trim around the split windows, windows in the doors, odometer with directional arrows, interior light, rear lights with heart, ashtray without handle and chrome trim. This car has it all.

Technically in good condition and recently fitted with a new coat of lacquer. The colour is nothing less than beautiful. The Beetle has a well running engine with a nice sound. The car shifts smoothly through all gears and it brakes properly. The whitewall tyres provide a period-correct look. The original interior is in good condition but it has been used for 67 years. It has not been renewed on purpose in order to keep the car's authentic look.

The car has a Dutch registration and a valid Dutch periodic inspection (APK) without expiry date because of the Beetle’s age (imported in the Netherlands in 2017 and technically inspected), so this classic is ready to be enjoyed!
