Description

Volkswagen Type 181 Kurierwagen military, 1971, also known as Volkswagen Safari, and in Germany as the Kübelwagen.

It is a small military vehicle produced by Volkswagen from 1968 to 1980.
The type 181 was designed to use a rear engine, the development of the vehicle took a long time, however, the German government needed a transport vehicle of low cost and durable that could meet their needs, all this resulted in a vehicle that was more able to climb steep slopes and had a moderate fuel consumption, its brake system is composed of four drum brakes. A PVC tarpaulin hood was chosen to protect the cabin from inclement weather. At the front of the cabin there are two upholstered seats in vinyl, while a bench was chosen for the second row. This unit in particular is in good state of preservation, being a perfect vehicle for excursions to the beach or the countryside and with a low maintenance cost, and also with the particularity that being a classic its revaluation is booming.
