We have a delightful restored and mechanically overhauled Volvo P1800. This car underwent a full nut & bolt restoration a few years ago and is beautifully presented. This restoration was carried out meticulously with a keen sense to keeping things authentic. This has resulted in one truly brilliant Volvo P1800.

The bodywork still looks great. The nice and thin panelwork aligns nicely everywhere. There is good quality paintwork which only shows some signs of normal usage. The brightwork adorning the bodywork is also still in great shape and of course none of it is missing. The car stands on Rostyle rims shod in correctly sized rubber.

The inside too did not escape the restorers attention. The seats and rear bench are upholstered in camel coloured vinyl as are the door cards. The light brown carpets compliment the interior look nicely. Gauges and controls look and function as they should adding cachet to the interior of the car. A new cable loom is not something you see but derive an enormous amount pleasure from. Every contact has been replaced and that is something quite reassuring in the fact you wont get stranded due to a faulty electrics department, a job often overlooked in restorations. What is likely to catch your eye is the period correct Pioneer radio.

The engine is in rude health and runs magnificently. The engine is coupled to a manual 4-speed transmission. The fuel injected engine produces 130 Ps. As part of the restoration the mechanics were fully taken in hand. That effort pays off in delightful handling. Every rubber suspension bush was replaced leaving us with a P1800 exhibiting the exact road manner it should.

The restoration process was captured in over 245 photo’s. Every aspect during the process was caught on camera, demonstrating the love and dedication that went into reviving this car. This is not just any old Volvo P1800e, no this is one you can just get into and drive off in. A car that is ready to face the next 50 years of its life!
