We have a wonderful 1967 Volvo P1800s. It has recently had a complete body-off restoration and is now in splendid condition. It has been a while since we last saw such a well and thoroughly restored and rebuilt P1800. This was a labour of love and probably represents one of the best P1800’s on the market.

The car was fully dissembled. Then underneath the car was subjected to ice blasting to enable the removal of years of built up contamination. The bodywork was taken back to bare metal before receiving a fresh coat of the original red colour. Thanks to the dedication to precision the car looks great. The bodywork has lovely thin and nicely aligned panelwork. The well fitting chrome brightwork is also in a very good state.

The interior trim was reupholstered in keeping with the original spec. The car has fine black leather upholstery and red carpets. The lovely iconic two-spoke steering wheel is prominent. The instruments and switches all work exactly as they should and look great. The original radio feature is a plus. The headlining is also in great shape.

During the restoration the a fully rebuilt engine was fitted. According to the literature this B18 should deliver 115 Ps, but it seems as if these Swedish horses have been to the gym as they feel so much more powerful. The engine has benefitted from many new parts, rebuilt carburettors and perfect tuning. The manual 4-speed transmission also contributes to the pleasant driving character of this timeless Swedish coupé. Not only has the rebuilt engine made a difference but also the rear wheel suspension, transmission and diff were fully overhauled. This is a Volvo P1800s that is possibly in better shape than when it originally left the factory.

The restoration has been documented with invoices and photos. This in other words is a wonderfully restored Volvo P1800s with prime great looks, mechanically sound which is ready for the next 54 years of its life.
