This is a beautiful 1985 Volvo 240 GLT, more specifically a Volvo 240 2.3 Grand Luxe Touring with manual transmission. The Volvo is in very good condition and has only 79,340 kilometers on the clock.

The bodywork is neatly cared for. The sheet metal is nice and thin and the fits are correct. The body is of course completely free of rust. The paint is neatly cared for and only has some very light signs of use that match the age and mileage of the car. The car is on original Volvo wheels surrounded by good Continental tires in the correct sizes. There is also a set of winter wheels with the car. Also items such as the chrome moldings and bumpers are in neat and original condition.

The interior is completely original and looks beautiful. The blue velvet upholstery on the seats is like new. The carpets are also neatly cared for, as are the mats. Furthermore, the instruments and controls are all neatly maintained and completely original. The interior of the Volvo 240 GLT may feel a bit spartan by today's standards, but the flip side of that coin is that everything you touch seems to be made for eternity. Another nice bit of trivia regarding the 240 is that, although the modern Volvo V90 is longer, the Volvo 240 is much better suited to transporting large items due to the much higher loading opening.

It's not just the interior that seems made for eternity. According to Volvo experts, the 2.3 liter four-cylinder in combination with the manual four-speed gearbox can be regarded as practically indestructible. The 2.3 liter four-cylinder engine is located longitudinally and transmits the driving forces to the rear wheels. The engine produces 122 horsepower. In good Volvo tradition, the chassis is mainly focused on comfort. So you can enjoy relaxed kilometers with this iconic Swedish tank.

The car comes with a Dutch manual and invoices for recent maintenance. The combination of the low mileage and powerful engine make this Volvo a wonderfully relaxed companion for every day, or just for the beautiful days of the year.
