Description

"The Vauxhall Cresta enjoyed a production run from 1954 to 1972. The model was introduced as an upmarket version of the Vauxhall Velox. During its 16 year build run the Cresta went through a number of facelifts and upgrades .The last of the series was called the PC and was introduced at the London Motor Show in October 1965. With an engine capacity of 3293cc, the Cresta had a published output of 115bhp. Famous owners of the Cresta have included Queen Elizabeth II who used a PC version of the Cresta as her personal transport.
This Vauxhall Cresta was registered in February 1970. This car forms part of a private collection and it appears to have been overlooked until it was found in a barn on the vendors estate. This 3.3 litre Powerglide PC version of the Cresta shows only two owners on the DVLA website, however it will require recommissioning to restore it to its former glory. Presented in red with a red interior, this bench seated Vauxhall should prove an enjoyable project for the right enthusiast. Offered to auction at no reserve.
