Description

Estimated Price: £13,000 - £16,000

  • Introduced in 1969, the Triumph TR6 was the final evolution of the traditional six-cylinder TR sports cars, with the early CP-series models particularly sought after for their higher-output engines
  • A UK-market CP-series example from 1972, benefiting from an extensive restoration carried out over an 11-year period between 2004 and 2015, including the replacement of numerous body panels.
  • Powered by the 2.5-litre, fuel-injected, straight-six engine, originally producing 150bhp in CP specification, with a four-speed manual gearbox. The engine was rebuilt in 1990 and subsequently overhauled during the later restoration
  • This example is fitted with a stainless steel rear exhaust system, electronic overdrive on 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear, electric ignition, electric cooling fan and battery isolator
  • In the same ownership since 1998, with a substantial history file documenting the restoration, engine work and ongoing maintenance. The car has recently passed its MOT without advisories, valid until 30/09/2027
  • Accompanied by its V5C and earlier copies, owner's manual, a thick file of invoices, old MOT Certificates dating back to 1989, and tax discs from as early as 1986
  • Supplied with a tonneau cover and a good-quality car cover, this is a well-documented example of the desirable early TR6, ready for its next custodian
