Description
"Like the Triumph 2000 it was developed from, the Triumph Stag was styled by Italian maestro, Giovanni Michelotti. The radical design introduced the integrated B-pillar rollover hoop and soft top arrangement as well as five-spoke alloy wheels. This slightly more advanced Mk. II model benefits from the correct triumph three-litre, V8 unit fed by a pair of Stromberg carburettors and combined with the Borg Warner three-speed automatic transmission rather than the alternative Rover variant.
With just four previous owners (the current one for 26 years!), this Mimosa Yellow example presents in extremely good original condition. Whilst showing its age in a very few extremely minor places, the paintwork overall is very good with straight panel gaps all round, solid brightwork and an entirely straight and well-ordered interior. It has recently been cared for under the extremely professional hands of Lackford Engineering, highly respected specialists in their field. Recent works are extensive and carefully detailed in the comprehensive history folder to include a full one-year MoT test certificate. All works in recent years have been carried out regardless of cost complete with a new black mohair hood, electronic ignition and the original owner’s manual and pack. This good looking classic represents extremely good value for money.
