The ‘70s is fast emerging as the ‘new‘ arena for historic motor sport, offering faster cars for much less money than their older counterparts, whilst still competing at the highest level and providing close racing at prestigious international venues. This rare period race prepared Triumph Dolomite Sprint is a very early ‘135‘ model which started its racing career in March 1980 at Brands Hatch. It went on to contest both the Wilcomatic and Monroe Championships, ‘retiring‘ from mainstream Motorsport in the late ‘80s and being put to occasional track day use since. Fitted with a rare (pre-‘76 spec - legal for historics) Leyland Special Tuning Group 1 race package, this original racing car has just been subjected to an exacting re-commissioning programme by
