Description

This 1970 Toyota Corona Mark II 1900SL Hardtop Coupé is the only one of this generation ever sold in Portugal and is in excellent condition. It is accompanied by the original service registration book, owner's manual and radio manual.

With its 1900cc engine of 122 horsepower it has very interesting performances and feels very modern while driving, not giving the real feeling that we are behind the wheel of a car from the late 60s.

Certified by the Museu do Caramulo as a vehicle of historical interest.

The first series of the Toyota Corona Mark II, introduced in 1968, was a brand new vehicle, which filled the level immediately below the luxurious Crown.

Using the Corona platform, but a little bigger and wider, it was a direct competitor to the recently launched Nissan Bluebird (Datsun 510 on the international market), Nissan Laurel, Isuzu Florian and Mazda Luce.

Until the late 1960s, Toyota was known as an economical car manufacturer. The Corona Mark II allowed Toyota to establish itself as an international player having conquered new markets.

The Mark II is a comfortable front-engine and rear-wheel drive car, larger than the older Toyotas, maintaining an affordable price and better fuel economy than European and American cars in the same segment, which equipped six-cylinder engines in line and V8.
