Founded in 1850 Czech vehicle manufacturer Tatra is the second oldest company in the world producing cars with an unbroken history only surpassed by French automaker Peugeot.
A time capsule of forward-thinking design is the 1950 Tatra 600 'Tatraplan'. Sought after for its luxury at the time, it was both expensive and exclusive to the wealthiest Czechoslovakians.

With its unusual exterior and drivetrain layout, it remained highly sought after and with limited production is highly desirable and collectible today. The Tatra 600 was the predecessor of the 603 model - released as a V8. It's believed that only 6342 'T-600' examples were produced.

Powered by an air cooled 'Flat 4-cylinder' 2L engine with twin carburetion and a 4-speed manual transmission. Designed with a streamlined 6-seat fastback saloon body with frontal suicide doors and a drag coefficient of just 0.32 far exceeded other vehicles of the time. From the release of the Tatra 97 and -its predecessor, this Tatra 600 proved superior in all ways.
Beautifully painted in silver, this stunning vehicle has been well maintained and presents nothing short of immaculate. The interior trim offers a uniquely designed red cloth trim, painted dash with original dials, switch gear and banjo steering wheel.

An example such as this in superb condition is rarely offered and is a sound investment for any serious collector.
