This immaculately presented example has recently been imported from Japan for a private collection but has since parted ways to make room for a larger investment. This particular example is finished in the launch colour "Pure White", has the matching white alloys, and features the soft sued/fabric deep bolster Recaro seats with matching black carpets. It drives, sounds, and looks superb, and is even more eye catching being factory optioned with no spoiler. The Fuji Heavy Industries plate in the engine bay confirms the correct RA-R model code of GDBG4LH.

These RA-R variants were a VERY limited run of 300 cars and were never offered new outside of the Japanese market. All 300 builds were sold out days after launch. Every offering of an RA-R on the market is usually quickly snapped up as these collectible JDM Unicorns start making a staple in the \'classic\' car market. These are arguably more scarce than any other Subaru and could well be as sought after as a 22B in the coming years.

The Spec-C RA-R was Subaru\'s attempt at headline-grabbing Nurburgring Nordschleife lap time, a headline many performance car manufacturers strive to own, hence the name RA-R (Record Attempt-Radical), it is the ultimate road going STI Subaru available. Subaru took the already impressive V10 GDB STI chassis (The rarest even in factory form) and fettled it to make the record attempt by adding larger brakes, light weight forged 18" wheels, larger sway bars, various pillow ball bushes, stiff lower suspension, different turbine blades, and a slight tickle of the cars engine management to produce up to 316hp from the reliable EJ20. As well as the mechanical performance enhancements Subaru put the RA-A on a serious diet! The roof is thinner, as well as windows, it featured no sound deadening, and the paint is barely thick enough to hide the well sculpted bare metal below. This is the most extreme and "Radical" factory produced Subaru ever, it was simply made to go fast, could we expect any less from the manufacture that have bought us so many rally bred machines!
