Description

The Simca Coupé 1000 and its successor, the Simca 1200S, are two-door rear-engine coupés that were produced by Simca between 1962 and 1971. Simca supplied the engine and mechanical supports, while the body and design were created in Turin by Bertone. At the rear, the 1204cc inline water-cooled four-cylinder engine that would later find its way into versions of the Simca 1100. The car was renamed the Simca 1200S and in that way the engine produced a maximum of 82 hp of power and allowed Simca to claim a speed of 170 km/h (105 mph). In 1970, a new update saw the claimed power increase to 85 hp and the claimed top speed to 179 km/h (111 mph).
This Simca 1200S is the latest series with a vinyl roof. Super rare and it is in excellent condition and completely mechanically overhauled.
