Description
"'Made like a gun, goes like a bullet' was the Enfield motorcycle department’s logo and bearing in mind that they have been building Enfield Bullets since 1931, it appears to be well-founded. In 1995, Enfield of India acquired the rights to continue manufacture based out of Tamil Nadu. It is in Delhi where our story begins however, with the previous owner. A British-based agent for the United Nations and the motorcycle was often the most effective means of transport out there.
It was often seen in and around the UN and EC headquarters in northern India and his wife often accompanied him on trips with the bike much loved during its tenure. Upon his return to the UK, he could not bear to be parted from his beloved Bullet so repatriated it back to its spiritual home. It was frequently serviced by Enfield specialists whilst in India and freshly MoT'd upon its return to England, after a few years, it was then acquired by the vendor and formed part of small collection down on the south coast. It is very comfortable for both passenger and pillion and an extremely flexible touring bike.
SALE ROOM NOTICE - Interested parties should note that this example has a righthand gear change and not, as previously advertised, leftfoot operation. Also, the odometer reading is in kilometres.
