EXTERIOR
Iconic in its factory designated finish of British Racing Green Metallic with white contrast roof and stripes, this Mini presents superbly, with its wide arches and quad spot lights from the optional sports pack creating a charismatic character with a surprisingly purposeful stance.

Offsetting the glorious green finish flashes of chrome trim adorn the exterior of the car, perfectly framing the Coopers elegant proportions. Subject to a refresh in 2015, with much of the trim restored or replaced, condition of the Mini is fantastic. Paintwork shows with incredible depth, with nothing more than a handful of minor stonechips to note, whilst the brightwork sits in good order with no signs of corrosion or fading.

INTERIOR
Markedly updated from earlier examples, the interior of the Mk VII Mini features a number of updates to improve day to day usability. Upgraded seats provide superior comfort to earlier examples whilst more sound insulation and a driver airbag make the thought of motorway driving considerably less daunting. Thankfully the same intelligent packaging of the cabin remains, with no centre console and an almost vertical windscreen creating precious space. The only display present is the small instrument cluster directly behind the chucky, sports style steering wheel.

A retrofitted Sony CD/Radio system provides ample entertainment for such a compact space, with Bluetooth and USB inputs giving some extra functionality for the occupants. Overall the interior presents in excellent order, with nothing more than some minor creasing of the drivers seat to note.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Plucky and ready to go, the engine in this Cooper starts on the button and is an enthusiastic motor. Featuring twin port injection the 1275 engine produces around 63 bhp, more than sufficient for some swift progress the feather weight Mini.

Recent works included a engine out rebuild and a new stainless cat-back exhaust system in April 2020, with a bill totalling over £2,000, and further mechanical work over the last 10 years with a log of invoices totalling in excess of £11k.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Fitted as part of the optional sports pack the 13″ alloys are slightly wider than that found on a standard Mini, with 175/50/13 tyres providing some extra traction and filling the Coopers flared arches. Condition is excellent, with no signs of curbing to note.

Brakes and suspension are also in excellent working order, with new ball joints and shock fitted all around in 2020.

HISTORY FILE
Supplied by Rover Thurrock on 24/11/1999 This Mk VII Mini Cooper was one of the last cars to be produced by British Leyland, with production ending in 2000. The stamped service book outlines a sheltered early life, showing 4 stamps with main dealers and just 12k miles on the clock by its 4th service in 2002.

MOT history shows the car covered around 12k more miles until 2011, where the car was purchased by an enthusiastic owner and given a new lease of life. Almost £12k worth of invoices spanning from 2011-2020 detail a mini restoration of the car, including a new clutch, bodywork, undersealing and most recently an engine rebuild with the current owner. MOT history and the impressive log of invoices help to verify the cars low mileage, with the current MOT free from any advisories and valid until October 2021.

Present with the car is the original book pack with service book, invoice log and a complete set of keys.
