Description
"The Mini was manufactured by the British Motor Corporation (BMC) and its successors from 1959 until 2000. The original is considered a British icon of the 1960’s and its space-saving front-wheel drive layout allowing 80% of the car's floorpan to be used for passengers and luggage, influenced a generation of car makers. In 1999, the Mini was voted the second most influential car of the 20th century behind the Ford Model T. Initially, Minis were marketed under the Austin and Morris names until Mini became a marque in its own right in 1969. The Mini was again marketed under the Austin name in the 1980’s and was offered in a number of limited editions that usually included a special combination of trim and badging.
Originally registered on 30th September 1998, this Paul Smith Edition Mini comes with paperwork dating back to the point of sale. Also included are the original service books, owner’s handbook and merchandise. These 1275cc Mini’s offer a fun driving experience and this example is no exception. The sports seats, colour co-ordinated dashboard and Minilite wheels are all features of this limited edition Mini. Supplied with a V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate valid until 14th June 2024 together with a Certificate of Conformity. Rarely do Paul Smith Edition’s come to the open market, this example should not be missed."
