Description

This Rover 10 "Special" came to the Netherlands as a saloon in 1974. Herman ten Velde from Holten, the Netherlands converted it into a Special six years ago. Then the car moved to Franeker, the Netherlands and was rebuild over there. The current owner has purchased the Special as a project car. That was at the end of 2016. He has restored the car "nut and bolt" and overhauled engine and gear box.

The most important job was the engine: All bearings (7 times) were re-cast (white metal), crankshaft was ground and balanced, valves, valve guides, etc., then the engine was completely rebuilt.

New clutch, body and diff are perfect. New tires, wheels have been spoked again.

Last May driven and finished the Tulpenrallye (A famous Dutch classic car rally): Tenth place!
