Description

1954 Rolls-Royce Siver Wraith
"Park Ward"
Chassis n° LDLW62
Same owner since 1970
French title

The Silver Wraith was the last Rolls-Royce to be ordered as a bare chassis and was introduced in 1946. With a wheelbase 18 centimeters longer than its cousin the Bentley MKVI, the newcomer was built on a thick box-section chassis equipped with independent front wheels, adjustable hydraulic shocks at the rear and four drum brakes. Powered by a 4257cc inline six cylinder mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, the model appealed to owners who wanted to drive as well as be driven. It only remained in the catalog from 1946 to 1954 and some say that the production figures are around 1144 units in normal wheelbase.
The proposed model was ordered new by Baron Marcel BICH (1914-1994). In 1970 it changes hands and belongs to the current owner. He bought this Rolls Royce at the garage R Valette, 6 rue Jacques Cartier Paris 18 for the sum of 18 000 F on July 10, 1970. The file includes the purchase invoice and the maintenance invoices of the Franco Britannic, and those of Henri Chapron since 1971.
We offer you the opportunity to acquire a car (to be restarted) with a clear history having had only 2 owners, the last one for 52 years. And above all there have been only 7 models in Park Ward built on this left-hand drive chassis!"
