The Rolls Royce Silver Spur is a stretched version of the Silver Spirit. It is the successor of the Silver Wraith II in 1980. It is distinguished by an extension of 10 centimeters (4 inch) and receives a factory vinyl roof, the Rolls Royce logos and special wheel trims just to name a few. The extended body benefits the rear passengers and the option of the driver separation was available and fairly common. The engine remains the same as the Siver Wraith, 6.7l V8 of enough power animates the elegant sedan without difficulty, assisted by a three-speed automatic gearbox. The Silver Spur is the first Rolls-Royce to receive a retractable "Spirit of Extasy" mascot. When trying to dislodge it from the radiator, the statuette automatically lodge itself into the grille and is no longer accessible until the engine restarts. The system stopped thefts of the emblem that became a sport in England and caused fears among Rolls buyers. Inside it is the Rolls comfort, not suffering from any criticism. Connolly house leather, elm and burl walnut, carpet of virgin lamb wool from Scotland. Plane type shelf, large central armrest incorporating the mini-bar, individually adjustable seats, individual air conditioning, it is unparalleled comfort at the rear. The car shown here is a Silver Spur Series 1 from 1981 in midnight blue color and beige leather interior. Sold new in Geneva Switzerland, it was imported in France in 2009 and sold to Mr L at an auction. It comes in a very good original condition never restored and maintained with care. The paint has a beautiful effect, the engine runs perfectly, and many repair bills are present in the folder. It is now proposed with its three original keys and its logbook. The mileage of 130 000 km shown on the meter confirms a regular use.
