In 1990, traveling in a Rolls- Royce Silver Spur II meant that importance was still attached to traveling in unheard-of luxury while maintaining a certain understated elegance. The modifications made on the second series of the Spur appeared in 1989, giving it greater reliability while improving the already remarkable performance. It is a modern car to drive, with Bosch injection and ABS which retains its remarkable interior fittings which, in turn, reflects craftsmanship from another era.
The history of this Silver Spur II is well documented. The May 1990 order form tells us that the car was ordered in its superb Midnight Blue color combination with parchment leather interior, with navy blue piping. On the Franco Britannic purchase invoice dated May 29, 1990, we can see that the only option stipulated is that of the "cocktail box between the front seats", still present in the car, which is billed at 12,000 francs. The provisional registration certificate of 1990 is also in the file of this Rolls-Royce, which has known only one owner: a lady who lived between Paris and the Middle East, and who wanted a comfortable car, driven by her chauffeur when traveling in Europe. The service and user manuals are still present in the car and an invoice file until 2016 covers the interventions carried out by various specialists such as Franco, Americo, and Compagnons Motoristes.
It is therefore a firsthand car, incredibly well documented and has retained all its charm, both thanks to the smoothness of its handling and the luxury of its particularly well-preserved interior fittings.
