Description
1959 ROLLS-ROYCE SILVER CLOUD
Its styling is one of the most recognizable in the world and one of their most successful cars as the owner felt comfortable driving himself. Very elegant two-toned silver and black with light grey interiors. Of the 2,238 cars built between 1955 and 1959 - this car is the 18th from the last production Silver Cloud built and maybe the last of the LHD (left hand drivers) built. It was sold new to its first owner in Beverly Hills Rolls-Royce, who kept it for forty years into the late 90's. The second owner had it for twenty-two years. Both kept it in well-maintained shape to enjoy. 4.9L, 6 cylinder engine with 155hp. Transmission is GM's Hydra-Matic 4-sp automatic. This car is also enjoyed with a factory Rolls-Royce air conditioning, power steering, power windows, and power brakes. Chassis No. LSNH126. The magnificent interior is in exceptional shape, including the stunning burled walnut dash and trim. While the paint is starting to show its age in places, its driving presence is still wonderful to be enjoyed. A ribboned participant at the 2022 Rolls-Royce and Bentley National meet. Selling at Public Auction on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Henderson Motor Series Auction will take place at the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum in Birmingham, AL. www.hendersonmotorseries.com for details!
