Description
Built between 2000 and 2002, the fifth generation of the iconic Corniche marked the end of the famed nameplate from Rolls-Royce and one of the final models before BMW’s takeover in 2003. The newest version of the convertible Corniche retained its status as Rolls-Royce’s flagship car and, at the time of its debut, was offered at a list price of $359,900. In 2002, Rolls-Royce devised the “Final Series” – a planned run of 56 uniquely equipped cars celebrating 56 years of Rolls-Royce production at its famous Crewe factory.
This 2002 Rolls-Royce Corniche “Last of Line” is a pristine example showing a mere 2,411 miles at the time of cataloguing. Finished in a striking shade of Milk White over Light Gray Connolly leather, this car was no. 22 of 56 examples built. As a limited-edition, “Last of Line” model, this Corniche is specified with special badging on the front fenders and red-backed Rolls-Royce logos around the car. Additionally, chrome mirror housings and revised chrome-finish wheels shared with its platform-mate, the Bentley Azure, are fitted. A beautiful combination of rosewood and cherrywood trim is seen throughout the interior, and in the center console, a commemorative placard is affixed. Accompanying the Corniche are factory accessories including handbooks, car phone, and umbrellas.
Presenting in outstanding overall condition and benefiting from recent service and detailing, this Corniche represents the pinnacle of pre-BMW Rolls-Royce and the ultimate in early 2000s opulence.
