2000 ROLLS ROYCE CORNICHE V
SCAZK29EXYCX68078 series
Last Rolls Royce built at Crewe
389 built
French registration
110 000 / 130 000 €

Launched in January 2000, the Corniche V was the world's most expensive car at 2.5 million francs (534,000 euros today). It is the last Rolls Royce to be equipped with the famous 6.75 V8 that has made the brand's reputation. A cousin of the Bentley Azure, it shares its chassis and turbocharged engine - a first for a corniche. This proximity is explained by the fact that it was the first and only Rolls Royce developed during the short period when Rolls Royce was owned by Volkswagen.
Like all Rolls Royces, its interior is adorned with the finest leathers and woods available. On the outside, it follows the lines of the Silver Seraph launched a few years earlier. The spirit of its predecessors is echoed in its modernity and overall build quality.
Its career came to an end in 2002 when the brand was taken over by BMW, and it was not replaced until 2007 by the Phantom Drophead Coupe.
Our example was delivered to the USA in 2000. Its first owner kept it for 9 years, before selling it in 2009 to a second American owner. In 2011, it was acquired by a French enthusiast, who imported it and kept it for 9 years. The current owner acquired it in 2021. Regularly serviced, the mechanics work well, as do the various electronic systems.
With 389 examples built, this Corniche is one of the rarest Rolls Royces of the post-war era.
